Our Story
The story started as a women's specialty store located in the heart of downtown Charleroi, Pennsylvania. We opened the doors of our first location in February of 2010, just days before a record-breaking blizzard. Five years later, we relocated to our current spot on the corner of 5th & Fallowfield in Charleroi. Since then, Prima Diva Boutique has continued to grow, carrying a wide range of brands from all across the country! We travel several times a year to markets in Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Dallas to ensure that the products that we carry are as unique and special as the ladies who shop with us.
But the story didn’t start there. Did you ever hear the saying “everything happens for a reason”? I was in banking for 30 years and my position was eliminated. Sounds like a bad thing, but I started working at the Chamber of Commerce which then led me to amazing friends and opportunities and I started looking at the beautiful historic buildings to rent in Charleroi, PA. I had never owned a business and I found myself calling my sister who had a business in Florida asking if I should do this. Well, obviously she said … absolutely! From there you had two sisters, two different businesses, two very different views from our windows and a dream to one day work together. For 4 years, we both had women businesses that had the same mission, to make women feel fabulous. We collaborated together for hours via phone. Here we are another 4 years later and our mother’s health needed us to all be in Pa. Then a business is sold, a house is sold and somehow through the heartache, we found ourselves with a new opportunity to work together like we always dreamed.
We are starting a new adventure of bringing the store to you online and we are so excited to share it with you! Now we find ourselves in a place where 2 sisters are in the same place, and have the joint opportunity to expand our vision to continue making you feel and be your best self! So, when you think of some of the best things this world has to offer, a blessing like that is really what’s it’s all about.
